Living in Tempe
Home to roughly 161,179 residents, the city of Tempe is situated in the East Valley section of the Phoenix metropolitan area. Residents of Tempe enjoy a thriving and diverse business economy, several great schools, and a number of fun cultural events. The city's top employers in 2012 included Arizona State University, Maricopa County Community College District, Salt River Project, Safeway and Wells Fargo. The presence of Arizona State University gives the city a vibrant student population, with many young professionals coming out of the school each year.
